The Industry’s first Fixed, Stackable GE Switch to Converge Wired&Wireless Networking

The Cisco Catalyst 3650 Series is the next generation of enterprise-class standalone and stackable access-layer switches, being expected to unveil a new Catalyst access switch designed wired and wireless networking which provide the foundation for full convergence between wired and wireless on a single platform. The Cisco Catalyst 3650 is built on the advanced Cisco StackWise-160, and takes advantage of the new Cisco® Unified Access Data Plane (UADP) application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC). This switch can enable uniform wired-wireless policy enforcement, application visibility, flexibility, application optimization, and superior resiliency. The Cisco Catalyst 3650 Series Switches support full IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+), and offer modular and field-replaceable redundant fans and power supplies. They can help you increase wireless productivity and reduce your TCO.

• 48 10/100/1000 Ethernet PoE+ ports
• 4x1G Uplink ports
• 1025WAC power supply
• LAN Base feature set
• Height: 1 RU fixed-configuration

The Common Q&A for Cisco IOS Software

As a technical consultant worked for 3Anetwork, frequently being asked questions about Cisco IOS software applicating. Here, I gathered them, having been given official explanation which I offered are as follows:

Q: If I need re-purchase the authorization after upgrading IOS for my Cisco 2911/k9 router, which have had authorized license?
A: My answer is No. Your previously authorization will be automatically activated. No need to worry about that.

Q: How to outcrop the latest version of IOS for a exact Cisco switch?
A:The first method: Open the Cisco official website, choose the “product” in “products and services” (if it is a router, “routers”, if a switch to select the “switches”), after entering, select the “device”, click the “device for more information”. The bottom is the software versions list of the Cisco, including whatever IOS version you are searching for.

So, doubt’s coming: From whom can we purchase original Cisco license, with competitive price, huge stock, fast delivery. We 3Anetwork, as a a leading Global provider of Cisco networking products, delivers original whether paper or electronic license through E-mail, fasting our delivery. This would avoid several unexpected situations -- previously authorization expire for example, offering a more simplified capital chain management. Our hot sale license include L-C3750X-48-L-E for LAN base to IP services, L-C3750X-48-L-S for LAN base to IP base, L-C3750X-48-S-E for IP base to IP services.

Q: How to chose IOS version for my Cisco 2921 router?
A: Cisco IOS software named general consists of five parts: AAAAA-BBBB-CC-DDDD.EE
AAAAA this group of characters which is the documentation of the applicable hardware platform, BBBB which is a characteristic of this group of characters included in the IOS, CC this group of characters is IOS file format, DDDD This group of characters is noted IOS software version, EE this is IOS file suffix. A characteristic of BBBB strings often see are:
a              Advanced Peer-to-Peer Networking (APPN) feature
       Boot           boot image
       j               business
       i               IP
       ipbase          IP BASE
i3              simplified IP, no BGP, EBP, NHRP
       i5              with VoFR of IP
       k8             IPSec 56
       k9             IPSec 3DES
        o              IOS Firewall
o3             with intrusion detection system IDS, SSH firewall
       p              plus
s              plus (NAT, IBM, VPDN, VoIP)
       v              VIP
       v5             VoIP
        x3             voice
If you just do the routing protocol configuration experiments, c3640-i-mz.123-5a.bin is enough. If you need to do encryption, firewalls or vpn aspect, we need to choose to support the specific features of IOS files.

Q: How is the Cisco IOS-XE Software architecture structured?
A: The framework of next-generation Cisco IOS-XE Software is internally distributed into major subcomponents. To design a scalable software architecture, each Cisco IOS-XE Software subcomponent handles unique tasks such as core applications (Cisco IOSd Software), integrated applications (WCM, Wireshark, and so on), Common Management Interface (syslog, HTTP, and so on), distributed forwarding manager, and so on.

Q: What are the high-availability(HA) states of Cisco IOSd Software running on the different switches in a stack?
A: The state of Cisco IOSd Software on each system is unique:
● Active: This Cisco IOSd Software is fully operational on the active switch. All management planes, Layer 2/3 control planes, and integrated WCMs function from this system.
● Hot standby: The Cisco IOSd Software is in hot standby state on the standby switch. To enable 1+1 stateful redundancy, the active switch synchronizes the network protocol state machines, wireless CAPWAP tunnel states, and so on in real time.
● Cold: All primary software components remain in cold state on member or line-card stack switches. The Cisco IOSd Software, management, and hosted applications remain in active state and are fully programmed for wire-speed distributed switching performance.

Q: What are the primary features introduced with the new Cisco IOS-XE Software 3.3.0SE on the Cisco Catalyst 3650 switch?
A: Refer to release notes for Cisco IOS-XE Software 3.3.0SE. For more details, refer to the Cisco Feature Navigator.

Configure OSPF for Cisco Routers

It is reffered from www.3anetwork.com/blog/

Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is a routing protocol for Internet Protocol (IP) networks. It uses a link state routing algorithm and falls into the group of interior routing protocols, being defined as OSPF Version 2 in RFC 2328 for IPv4. The updates for IPv6 are specified as OSPF Version 3 in RFC 5340,
operating within a single autonomous system (AS). OSPF is perhaps the most widely used interior gateway protocol (IGP) in large enterprise networks. IS-IS, another link-state dynamic routing protocol, is more common in large service provider networks. The most widely used exterior gateway protocol is the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), the principal routing protocol between autonomous systems on the Internet.
The advantage of shortest path first algorithms is that they results in smaller more frequent updates everywhere. They converge quickly, thus preventing such problems as routing loops and Count-to-Infinity (when routers continuously increment the hop count to a particular network). This makes for a stable network.

Note
This scenario is recommended to deploy in the small network environment, we recommend using the OSPF routing protocolwhen routers are not all Cisco devices. When routers are all Cisco devices, we suggest the EIGRP routing protocol.

 Procedure

Step1: Configure router1 and the configuration commands are shown as below.
